Dr. River Gray Matter was a brilliant therapist who believed fear loses power when given form. When traditional therapy failed the most traumatized clients, River created the NeuroNarrator Interface, a device to extract trauma directly from the mind. But the final client’s horrors proved too much. The Interface overloaded, the lab exploded, and River became something more, something able to tap into the worst traumas. They became…the FEARapist. Now, in a tomb office between worlds, The FEARapist continues their work, because some cases are too impossible for the living to handle alone.

Once Dr. Gray Matter, a psychologist who pushed too far trying to save impossible cases, they now work from a tomb office helping those whose fears are too deep for the living to heal. Though their skeletal appearance and missing face are nightmarish, their purpose is compassionate, using the language of horror to speak uncomfortable truths about trauma, boundaries, and the cost of caring too much. Every diagnosis has its demons.
