I didn’t read the original Cat & Mouse, so can’t compare them. But this was a lot of fun.

To be fair I have read and thoroughly enjoyed the original Cat and Mouse series so my expectations were fairly high on this. While not a continuation or reboot, this is a spiritual successor or reimagining of their tale, and it delivered. Great art by the wonderfully talented Dean Zachary, and Roland Mann is back writing the series he created. Wonderful pacing, and Roland does a great job introducing us to the new Cat and Mouse world. He also has an amazing ability to leave you on a note that makes it impossible not to want the next issue. Action packed from page 1, it’s a solid recommend. AND, you should totally get the graphite version as well as the regular color version. I got the graphite version not really understanding what it was. I was just being cheap. The graphite version has the whole book in black and white pencils. No inks or colors. It is gorgeous. It demands for an 11×17 artist edition of the issue. Get both and thank me later.
