Choices is a high-stakes, 12-page PSA comic that blends superhero action with a visceral message about personal health. The story follows Hero, a female time traveler who uses her wrist-mounted device to correct more than just crimes. After intercepting a jewelry store robbery by jumping back to the exact moment of the crime, Hero spots a different kind of villain: the peer pressure facing a group of teenagers outside a convenience store. When a young boy named Jeremy is about to succumb to the pressure of smoking his first cigarette just to be cool, Hero intervenes. Rather than giving a lecture, Hero takes Jeremy on a fwooosh through time to witness his own future. They land in a high school gym class where an older, smoking version of Jeremy is wheezing and physically struggling to keep up with his peers. By showing him the literal breathlessness of his future self, Hero empowers Jeremy to make a choice that saves his life before it even begins.
