Great second issue! The artwork is wonderful, with very cosmic stylings reminiscent of parts of Perez and Kirby. Genecy’s powered-up design is really unique and eye-catching. There are some unexpected twists that I did not see coming after reading issue #1, and a great set-up for the future plot. Since the background story was limited in issue #1 the backup story with #2 helped flesh out Genecy as a person. Too many unanswered questions by the end, but that’s what’s making me eager to see issue #3. A good start to a unique cosmic-level story that leaves you wanting more.

Genecy #2, has been a complete joy to read and to be a part of. Harkening back to those 80s cosmic stories that transported you immediately to far off places. Steeped in that classic “page busting” excitement and “bombastic” clashes that I grew up on. Packaged for a new generation to consume and fall in love with. Genecy is definitely not your average comic. Gerald Cooper is out to tell a compelling story of revenge, betrayal, humility, and ultimately, triumph. All wrapped up in a fantastic Space Odyssey.

After reading issue #1, I was anxious to see where this story was going. Issue # 2 did not disappoint! It expanded the established relationships in an unexpected manner that caught me by surprise!
