Mars circa 2089, several planets in our solar system have been colonized for many years. The Moon has sprawling slums, while Mars has become a popular and exclusive theme park based on a super stylized version of 80’s Miami – a synthetic world of cloned flamingos, and fast cars, and action-packed theme park shows. Two unlikely police detectives, a human Maxwell ‘Moony’ Boone and his new alien partner Tykar ‘Ty’ Baths overcome their differences, as they work undercover in this fake 1980’s Miami investigating a mysterious kingpin, who is threatening to corrupt the solar system with a new drug made from the rare alien blood of Bath’s people.

I have to say I didn’t know what to expect. I was thinking it would just be a sci-fi story set on Mars about some police officers. Well it is but with an excellent twist in my opinion. I really dig the idea this city is more of a tourist theme park type thing. The draw to the city is the time that’s being portrayed the 80s in Miami but on Mars. I don’t want to give anything away but maybe I have lol. All I can say is I’m definitely ordering number two this week. This is well written and the art is great. I think it’s a good mixer of sci-fi , nostalgic times, humor and drama. It pulled me right in and quickly got into an enjoyable story. Looking forward to reading number two.
