There was a period from the 1930s to the 1950s that is now considered the Golden Age of Comics. Despite current conception, there were many superheroines from that era which even pre-date Wonder Woman. Artist Steven Butler was inspired by these wondrous women and began a portfolio that evolved into the Women Warrior of the Golden Age 2020 Calendar. He also did a series of separate of full figure character drawings for a series of trading cards, stickers and this companion pin-up book, Warrior Women of the Golden Age, Volume 1.
