So imagine this: it’s the 1940s, the world’s still reeling from war, and an ancient relic that once gave a particular bloodline their incredible edge suddenly resurfaces. It’s whisked away to a museum—the sort of place you’d think would be the safest spot on earth. But things go sideways fast. A young curator notices a group of shady characters eyeing the artifact, and she knows this is trouble she can’t handle alone. She reaches out to her childhood sweetheart, now a detective in the big city, hoping he can help untangle the web of motives and thieves. But they’re not the only ones on the trail: a mysterious figure is running his own covert investigation, prowling the shadows and asking questions nobody else dares to.
