Marty and Eli Powers are college-aged identical twins who discover, on their first day at San Romero Community College, that they were granted superpowers when they were younger by a magical yokai, a kitsune named Mocha. While they each have their own unique power, Marty superspeed, and Eli telekinesis, as some sort of cosmic joke, both share a small pool of other powers, including telepathy, teleportation, supersight, and invisibility. However, each of them can only use one shared power at a time and only for a few minutes.
