In a South Texas town people are skeptical about TV News reports regarding the recent events of animal mutilations. As our society likes to label things we do not understand, we fearfully explain unknown mysteries with inconclusive media report. Some of the wicked actions committed by the Palm have been wrongfully credited to the Mexican folklore sensation , el chupacabras. “The Palm” is a series following the birth of an evil creature from its time of inception, to its blood thirsty rampage through the small town of Alice, Texas. In the series, an unlikely hero tells his story, Virgil Torrez takes on the mission to unveil the mystery behind the hideous blood sucking monster to prove his sanity. A blood curse will change Virgil Torrez into the thing he finds himself trying to kill…. The PALM . It will change the way you view palm trees forever. In “The Palm- Prologue The Rio Grande Story”, a young Native American Juan Villarreal finds himself in the crossfire of the 1910 Bandit Wars in Tejas. In order to escape the cruel treatment of the Texas Rangers and Revolutionaries alike; Juan Villarreal in his despair, fled south towards the Rio Grande in search of a peaceful life. In Mexico, he finds friendship and love in a young woman, which will change his life forever. A curse gives birth to a creature, falsely known to some as, el chupacabra, in turn a foreboding inevitable legend is born The Palm.
