“New Souls A” consists of a number of short episodes, including “Eating Crow,” “Fine Girl You Are,” “Freaks,” and “Patrons.” Stinz gets invited to the Prince’s court (don’t ask), and in trying to retun home, receives such a shock at the entry-way he runs back out into a strange new world he is not prepared to cofront. He is captured and held as property, then escapes, is captured by Gypsy Centaurs and gets a whole new makeover by the Gypsy Centaurs. Oh, and the Baron’s centaur, Jesi, has a scary date with Stinz’s daugher Reet. Stinz is the story of a centaur, although he’d prefer it if you called him a Half-horse. Stinz is a big blond stallion, black as night on the hair end, whose excellent animal instincts and fine human brain too often cancel each other out. In a series that follows his life from clumsy colt and accidental soldier to legendary war hero and mayor of his small home town, Stinz never fails to be in the middle of his world’s events. It’s not OUR world, but what difference does that make?
