The Dreamery” Short stories that originally appeared in The Dreamery, from Eclipse Comics. “The Carp of Easter” is what happens when Stinz’s wife sends him and his little son to do no more than fetch a nice fat carp from the pond for the holidays. He almost drowns; can’t she trust them to do anything? “Chicken” is the story of a very very unusual black rooster. “Not My Problem” is what happens when the Baron’s soldiers mess around with Stinz on his land — and a wild eagle. “Sprunghack Hans” was the cover story in the original Hallowe’en issue of The Dreamery Stinz is the story of a centaur, although he’d prefer it if you called him a Half-horse. Stinz is a big blond stallion, black as night on the hair end, whose excellent animal instincts and fine human brain too often cancel each other out. In a series that follows his life from clumsy colt and accidental soldier to legendary war hero and mayor of his small home town, Stinz never fails to be in the middle of his world’s events. It’s not OUR world, but what difference does that make?
