The intervention of Dr. Otto Robertson prevented Duncan, who was to be the means of Axel’s escape, from opening the cell doors. Nobody knows of Axel’s involvement in the escape, but his chances of mounting another one look grim. Leighton, the head orderly at the asylum, was injured in the attempt and now has become a guinea pig just like the prisoners he used to bully. His body is undergoing the changes that will turn him into Nocturne, but nobody in The Underbelly knows what’s about to hit them.
